On the footsteps of Vincent Van Gogh in Auvers sur Oise, half day tour from paris
Walk with your private guide along the streets of this picturesque village ; You’ll discover the church painting by Van Gogh (Orsay Museum-Paris.)
We’ll pass by the inn where Vincent stayed and died, 1 day and ½ after shooting himself in the chest with a revolver.(1890,July 29th)
There is a little museum behing the inn, dedicated to him, and where a reconstitution of his bedchamber is visible today.(elective visit)
if you wish, you can visit the museum dedicated to the infamous beverage called Absinth (visit & tasting elective, and open only on Weekends)
This tour can be easily combined with the half day tour to Giverny, so that you can discover within the same day 2 places where lived 2 of the most famous modern painters: Claude Monet and Vincent Van Gogh! plus the great Norman landscapes and the valley of the Seine river!
